From the Cornwall Gazette and Falmouth Packet, Saturday 9th October 1802, page 5.
Last Sunday, the new church in the parish of Kea, was opened for the first time for public worship, and a suitable Sermon preached on the occasion, from the 8th verse of the 25th chap. of Exodus. The church was so much crowded that hundreds of people were obliged to return without being able to gain admittance. At the same time one woman was upraised and 9 children baptized.
