From Cornwall Record Office ref. P97/2/29. No address, signature or date, but probably from Elizabeth Daubuz to Canon Holroyd Mills.
Thank you very much for all you have done for us about the window. Your suggestions are very helpful & my nephew & I quite agree with the position of the B.V.M. & St. J. B. on one side of the centre light & St John the Evan on the other, with the figure of St. J. Bap. behind the B.V.M. & St. M. Mag to be in the back ground of St. J. Evan.
We should prefer to have St. Ké standing by his stone boat & King Athelstone crowned instead of St Neot and also to have Bishop Gott (who was then Bishop & consecrated our Church June 4 1896.) instead of Archbishop Benson.
Will you tell me the meaning of “The Great Unknown” which you plan to be with Ezekiel & how you would express a figure of it. If you approve of these alterations please let us hear from you & we will send the coloured design to Mr Prynne for the alterations & for the plain design to be shown to the Faculty for authority.
