Dear Mr. Coode,
Thanks for your letter, the receipt of the design for the East window should have been acknowledged by my Secretary.
It was received quite safely. While I agree with Canon Mills that it would be well to have some recognised Cornish Saints, I am afraid I hardly like the idea of putting in modern Ecclesiastics such as Bishop Gott and Henry Martin, in a representation of the Church Triumphant. In the Cathedral itself I can understand them being chosen as having direct historical connection with the Cathedral, but I should greatly prefer the representation of universally known Saints and Doctors of the Church as infinitely more teaching and devotional.
I am in correspondence with Canon Mills, and will let you know the result.
